So many things I want to write about!

I read a bunch of articles over the course of the last week... wanted to share them

I read an article about how France is having "La semaine du goût!" Part of what this week does is to introduce school children to the products of France (butter, cheese) and have them appreciate its goodness. WHY DON'T WE HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THIS?? Priorities, priorities. In my Child Health class, we're learning about obesity, and how it came about despite our country having raised malnourished kids in the early parts of the 20th century. A lot of it had to do with presumptions about how people were feeding their kids at the time, and how the government was trying to find ways to dump agricultural commodities... into school lunch programs. High fat, high protein... yes.

In other news, David Brooks thinks people in neuroscience are young and good-looking! (that is the true point of this article :P) Brain, Mind, and Behavior! My area of concentration! It's just really good-looking.

And, since everyone's sick... washing your hands with cold water apparently does as much for you as washing with warm water! Just use soap.

OK, so I still am not better. I can't seem to get rid of phlegm (gross, sorry).

The weather is also super warm-- I'm wearing shorts! :(

Tomorrow is our Café Night and Treasure Island this weekend... I'm going to be taking my computer to SF :(, but it must be done.
