A bit much too much.

I went a whole day without posting????
That is unthinkable.
I'm actually pretty proud of myself...
(Though, I have to admit that I was thinking about posting/the blog itself yesterday. A fair amount.)
I'm waiting for my laundry to finish in about 24 minutes... let's see if I can finish this by then!

The theme of this evening's blog is "A bit much too much."
I'll be presenting it in a few parts:
Act one-- Throw It All Away
Act two-- The Future Freaks Me Out
Act three-- I've Just Seen A Face
[/shoutout to NPR's This American Life]

Act one-- Throw It All Away (--Zero 7)
I can predict what my mom will say when she sees this atrocity of a room: "Okay, let's go through your things and purge."

It needs it. I will be getting a roommate on Wednesday and had to condense everything to one half of the room. Lucky girl will actually have her part of the room cleaned tomorrow morning (side note: I moved into my room with someone still in it..... and I'm 99% sure that it was never cleaned). Anyway, in doing the mini move, I see how much nonsense I have:
--Bags that I keep just because I think I will use them at some point in time (Anthropologie, Ambiance in SF, Aveda, Lucy, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's.... an interesting selection of bags that showcases my shopping habits?)
--Boxes of books. Essentially 3 years in book form. I. NEED. TO. SELL. THESE. BACK. END OF STORY.
--Boxes of notes. What to do?? Humbio? Spanish? Neuro? Ahhh so much paper.
--Mugs. I have 4 mugs. 3 thermoses. 2 glasses (wine and martini). Tea parties? Yes.
--Leftover baking supplies. I have no kitchen, yet I have flour, sugar, vanilla, butter and walnuts. Someone buy me some eggs and chocolate, and I'll make you brownies.

In any case, this is a clear indication that my prediction will be CORRECT.

I have a roommate for 4 days: Sept 2-6. I move out the 6th (à la Maison Française!!) but will only be sleeping in my bed for one of the days. Thanks, parents, for rescuing me!

Act two-- The Future Freaks Me Out (--Motion City Soundtrack)
It doesn't freak me out. I'm SO excited. For:
--Getting MCAT out of the way (at least for now)
--Moving into La Maison Française
--Autumn (cooler weather, sweaters, seeing friends again!)

We'll start there. But those three things are pretty substantial and occupy much of my brain space at the moment.

Act three-- I've Just Seen A Face (--The Beatles)
There's not actually anything that I wanted to say on this... I'm listening to The Beatles, and it happened to come up when I was trying to think of another act. Plus, I'm almost running out of time... but this song IS good.

But, speaking of This American Life, I have a whopping two episodes to listen to in lab tomorrow!!! Yessssssssssssss. NPR Podcasts FTW.

FOLDING LAUNDRY TIME!
Yesssss fabric softener.

Bonne nuit~
